CTEEA
This intermediate workshop will pick up from where last year's MASUK drone workshop left off. Participants interested in attending should be using drones in their schools currently, and/or have droning experience. The goal of the day is to create an ongoing document that all CTEEA teachers can use to bring droning into their classrooms safely.
Topics will include:
1. Reading requirements and safety assessments to be completed before operating a drone (just like the written part of a driving permit, but for drones).
2. Flying with an instructor (how much flight time is enough?)
3. Passing a flight skills course (what does the flight course consist of, we would also create a rubric for pass/fail with feedback to improve on if student fails?)
4. Open forum - time permitting
During the day we will also have time for flying indoors with smaller drones (provided). As well as in the afternoon (weather permitting) you will have an opportunity to fly a Phantom 3-pro (provided).
Participants are encouraged to bring their drone(s) to the workshop. Weather permitting, in the afternoon session, we will fly and share their similarities and differences.
The Registration fee is $25 and lunch will be provided.
